To welcome the fall season, Children’s Village in Orange put on a Fall Festival for the children, families, and teachers. The children decorated pumpkins with colored glue, feathers, foam shapes, and pompom balls. Families tasted the vegetable soup that the children helped prepare during the week. There were sensory tubs to explore, filled with small pumpkins, gourds, Flint corn, and cocoa mulch. A popular activity was the face painting station, set up with mirrors at the children’s eye level, paint and paint brushes. Children were seen painting their own faces, and even their family’s or teacher’s faces! Hay bales were used as seats for an interactive story time with fall themed books. Art tables offered bracelet or necklace making and fall colored crayons and paper. Thank you to all the families who donated vegetables and hay bales for our event! But most of all, thank you for coming to our Fall Festival and celebrating the new season with us!
