The preschool children celebrated Earth Day by releasing butterflies! Leading up to the release, the children had the opportunity to observe the entire process from caterpillar, to chrysalis, to butterfly!
They utilized a chart to notate observations of the transformation and also identified different parts and features of the butterflies and observed the changes daily. There were so many ways to incorporate math, art, science, fine motor, and literacy activities into the curriculum.
