One of our topics of discussion in the month of February was community helpers. This ranged from mail carriers, police officers, plumbers, construction workers, members of our armed forces, teachers, fire fighters, etc. We were very grateful to the Orange County Fire Department for bringing their fire truck and coming to talk with us about fire safety. While at Children’s Village, the fire fighters toured us around their fire truck and talked to us about their uniform and equipment. They told us even though they may look scary with their special gear on, it is very important that we do not run or hide from them in the event of a fire, because they are there to help us. Thank you to all of our community helpers!
