At Children’s Village Preschool, our teachers are committed to ongoing professional development to bring the best learning experiences to our students. During a recent teacher training, they created sensory bottles designed to introduce STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) concepts to children from infants to preschoolers. These bottles encourage hands-on exploration of scientific principles like cause and effect and liquid movement, helping children develop problem-solving skills and critical thinking through sensory play.
Beyond STEM learning, sensory bottles provide a calming and engaging activity that supports focus, fine motor development, and self-regulation. Whether watching glitter swirl, oil and water separate, or objects float and sink, children experience the magic of discovery in a way that feels like play.
