Orange Park Acres, California, is a small town built on Orange County and Los Angeles County border. The community was initially called “Rancho Santa Margarita y Las Flores,” but it has been shortened to just “Orange Park Acres.” It was founded in 1875 by Irishman James F. Reilly as a place for those displaced from their homes during the Great Depression to find work and shelter. He named the city after his birthplace: Orange Park, Florida. Only about 2,000 people live in this unincorporated town today, but there is no shortage of things to do here!
