About Orange Park Acres, California
Orange Park Acres, California, is a small town built on Orange County and Los Angeles County border. The community was initially called “Rancho Santa Margarita y Las Flores,” but it has been shortened to just “Orange Park Acres.” It was founded in 1875 by Irishman James F. Reilly as a place for those displaced from their homes during the Great Depression to find work and shelter. He named the city after his birthplace: Orange Park, Florida. Only about 2,000 people live in this unincorporated town today, but there is no shortage of things to do here! You can spend your day at one of many parks or libraries, go shopping around downtown or head out to the beach to play volleyball. There are also a wide array of Halloween-themed events and festivals that take place here throughout October!
If you’re planning to visit Orange Park Acres for this year’s Halloween season, then you are in luck because there are many haunted places for you to check out. We have compiled all of them for you below. Have fun exploring them all but please remember to be safe and, of course, have respect for the property of others! If you are looking for a smaller place to go, then perhaps checking out the Orange Park Acres Fire Station will be perfect for you. It’s located on the corner of Alipaz Street and Amuchastegui Lane, so it can be a bit difficult to find at first, but if you have GPS with you, it shouldn’t be too much of an issue. We’ve heard that on Halloween night, the firefighters here open up the firehouse for people looking to check out the inside of it before trick-or-treating. The firehouse is just down the street from Orange Park Acres City Hall, so you could quickly go to both places in one night if you want! Just be aware that no lights or electricity are running through this place – everything runs on solar power only. There aren’t any scary stories about this firehouse, but it’s still worth checking out if you’re in the area!
