About Platinum Triangle, Anaheim

Platinum Triangle is a district in Anaheim, California. It is located in the eastern part of the city and is home to the Honda Center and Angel Stadium. The area was developed in the 1990s and has become a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. The district is situated along Brookhurst Street and near the Santa Ana River. The eastern border of the Platinum Triangle is defined by State College Boulevard, where Angel Stadium can be found. The western side of the district consists mainly of apartment complexes, while the southern part borders an industrial zone. Its northern boundary follows Orangewood Avenue and Katella Avenue. The district’s name was created because it is immediately south of Platinum Triangle (which is considered to be Anaheim’s most upscale neighborhood). The two communities share a mailing address, and their high schools are both parts of the Anaheim Union High School District. Platinum Triangle is home to Angel Stadium of Anaheim, Honda Center, and other popular locations.

Angel Stadium of Anaheim is where the MLB team California Angels used to play until 1996, when they became the Los Angeles Angels. It is currently home to the MLB team Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. It has hosted various sports teams such as football’s Chargers in the 1994-1995 season when their original stadium was being refurbished and the temporary home of the Los Angeles Rams. They moved from Anaheim Stadium for a few seasons after relocating from St. Louis in 1980.
It also contains many local attractions, such as a local mall called Anaheim Gardenwalk, a 24-screen AMC theater, restaurants, and shops.

Platinum Triangle is also home to other popular locations such as Disneyland Resort and Anaheim Convention Center. The two resorts at the Disneyland Resort are Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. These parks are most famous for hosting the “Happiest Place on Earth” and many other great attractions for both kids and adults. The Anaheim Convention Center is another popular attraction in Platinum Triangle, hosting events such as anime conventions to car shows. Other attractions include Anaheim Gardenwalk Mall, an outdoor mall with shops and restaurants near the Honda Center. The district also has many apartment complexes located along the southern part of the district. Platinum Triangle is situated in Central Anaheim, near many popular attractions in Anaheim. The closest freeway to Platinum Triangle is the 57 Freeway, accessed from State College Blvd. It is also close to CA-91 and I-5, making it easy for residents to get around town. The district is also only a short drive away from the Disneyland Resort; it would be about 10 minutes to get to both parks.

Platinum Triangle is well connected by public transportation because it is close to Anaheim Station, where Amtrak and Metrolink operate. The station has an Amtrak bus service upgrade project that has been postponed but provides limited service for passengers to board at the station. It also has a Metrolink connection to Downtown Los Angeles, typically available during weekday mornings through early afternoon. The district is close to all major bus routes that connect Anaheim to surrounding communities via OCTA Bus lines and North Orange County. The neighborhood is 2 minutes away from the bus stop at Gardenwalk. Platinum Triangle is located in District 4, which Jordan Brandman currently represents as of 2015.

In the 2016 election, the residents of Anaheim’s other three districts will be able to vote for a new representative since Michelle Steele and Kris Murray have reached their term limits. The two incumbents, Gail Eastman and Kris Murray will not run for reelection. The district has had more registered Democrats than Republicans since 2008, but the registration of voters is almost evenly split between the two parties. Platinum Triangle is a district that historically votes for democratic presidential candidates by a significant majority.

At the same time, some of the best parks in Platinum Triangle are Pearson Park, Disneyland Resort, and Anaheim GardenWalk. Some of the best attractions in Platinum Triangle are Disneyland Resort, Disney California Adventure Park, Anaheim Convention Center, and Anaheim Gardenwalk.
